This is the first album of the band Ridge Walk, which was produced and recorded by the band itself. Ridge Walk, that's 4 friends from Chemnitz, who 4 years ago, after exactly 4 pairs of dancing, tousled shoes and hoarse voices from singing on tightrope walks in the Alps and Pyrenees, found their very own sound of rock and pop. The 9 songs treat the personal ups and downs of life in a danceable and rousingly driving, but also calm and soulful way. The powerfully sensitive vocals (Maria), dreamily filigree guitar playing (Henrik), driving bass sequences that get under your skin (Peter) and catchy, surprising rhythms (Christian) reflect a mixture of influences from the Black Keys, London Grammar and The Preatures.

Distance
I heard them talking
same same but different
I didn´t know what it means
I heard them talking Can you explain?
Why isn´t it all the same?
I heard them talking
I still do not know
what these words are standing for
The more distance the more we see
How things are shaped and meant to be
In wide angle we see it all
In wide Angle we feel so small
Been there, done it
I took a shot
so nice that we met
Been there, done it again
that is what traveling is about, my friend
been there, done it once more
What the hell are you here for?
The more distance the more we see
How things are shaped and meant to be
In wide angle we see it all
In wide Angle we feel so small
What the hell is going wrong
I keep asking deep inside
Why are people are unable to appreciate life
What the hell is going wrong
and why are we trying to fight
Why are we awakening the demons inside
Maybe it it to late, to late anyway
because we keep on, we keep on doing it anyway
We are doing it
we are doing it
we are doing it
we are doing it
We are doing it
We are doing it anyway
Their bodies are longing for a desire
To go higher
To be faster than anyone
Nothing to say,
They have got nothing to say
All right
No, They have got nothing to say,
They have got nothing to say
All right
No, They have got nothing to say,
They have got nothing to say
All right
No, They have got nothing to say,
They have got nothing to say
All right
No, they have got nothing to say,
they have got nothing to say
All right
Maybe it is too late
too late anyway
Maybe it is too late
too late anyway
Maybe it is too late
too late anyway
