This is the first album of the band Ridge Walk, which was produced and recorded by the band itself. Ridge Walk, that's 4 friends from Chemnitz, who 4 years ago, after exactly 4 pairs of dancing, tousled shoes and hoarse voices from singing on tightrope walks in the Alps and Pyrenees, found their very own sound of rock and pop. The 9 songs treat the personal ups and downs of life in a danceable and rousingly driving, but also calm and soulful way. The powerfully sensitive vocals (Maria), dreamily filigree guitar playing (Henrik), driving bass sequences that get under your skin (Peter) and catchy, surprising rhythms (Christian) reflect a mixture of influences from the Black Keys, London Grammar and The Preatures.

Destruction
I Let the creatures of you in my mind
They tried to push me down and once changed my life
Now i am back where i was before
Now i leave you waiting
In front of the open door
Try to destruct my Self,
Try oh try
I will defend my Self
Try oh try
Try to destruct my Self
Try oh try
Until you stop telling me those lies
Locked you out of my life
to stop the creatures of you becoming my truth
But like time on the look
they started to enhail my youth
Try to destruct my Self,
Try oh try
I will defend my Self
Try oh try
Try to destruct my Self
Try oh try
Until you stop telling me those lies
From trust to disgust, that is all you made me feel
Resist to start hateing myself
because the words you said were never for real
Try to destruct my Self,
Try oh try
I will defend my Self
Try oh try
Try to destruct my Self
Try oh try
Until you stop telling me those lies
i won´t cry
no no no no
i won´t cry
because of you fucking lies
your fucking lies
